For clients who want comprehensive financial planning only, we charge a project fee based on an agreed scope of work and an estimated number of hours to complete the project. A typical comprehensive financial plan costs $4,000 to $8,000. Our fee does not include any ongoing implementation post-engagement nor does it include detailed investment portfolio recommendations for clients who would otherwise qualify for our wealth management services.
We also offer a subscription-based model for those looking for ongoing support, in addition to a comprehensive plan. In this case, our one-time onboarding fee is $2,000-$3,000, and we charge a monthly subscription fee of $299 for up to four hours of advisor support per quarter. Our subscription model requires a minimum one year commitment.
Annual fees for our wealth management services (which include all desired financial planning) are based on the value of the assets we manage for each client. These typically only include assets we manage on a discretionary basis at our custodial firm. They do not include investments made directly by our clients that we are not overseeing (e.g., individual stocks selected by the client, direct private equity investments).
Our current fee schedule is as follows:
- 1.0% for the first $2,500,000 under management
- 0.9% for the next $2,500,000
- 0.7% for the next $5,000,000
- 0.5% for amounts over $10,000,000
Please note that we charge a minimum annual retainer of $10,000 for our wealth management services and there is no separate initial or ongoing financial planning fee.
For those whose investable assets fall between $400,000 – $1,000,000, we offer a subscription-based model. Under this model, we charge a monthly subscription fee of $299 for initial financial plan development and up to four hours per quarter of ongoing support, with a minimum one year commitment. In addition, we charge a flat annual AUM fee of 0.5%. Under this option, our investment strategies are model-based and we do not deploy dynamic asset allocation strategies.
Divorce Financial Analysis
We typically charge a project fee based on an agreed scope of work and an estimated number of hours to complete the project. A typical settlement analysis, coupled with a post-divorce comprehensive financial plan, costs between $3,500-$6,000.
We will also occasionally work on an hourly basis when the scope of work cannot be ascertained (e.g. litigated cases). Our current hourly rate is $300.
